THE MAGIC SOIREE

In the upstairs loft of Camp Ticonderoga, The Magic Soiree unfolds its mystical charm. This exclusive event, running every Saturday night and some Fridays, offers an unforgettable evening. As Sarah Harfield and Keith Fields, the owners of The Magic Soiree, put it, “The Magic Soiree is a unique experience and has been described as ‘The best night out in Michigan’ with all 5-star reviews on Google.” This magic comedy dinner theatre show dazzles guests with close-up magic and a hilarious stage show. “When world champion of magic Keith Fields collides with comedian and author Lady Sarah on stage… anything can happen, and it usually does! 30 years of performing together on both sides of the pond and they still surprise each other.” Tickets are limited and must be bought in advance, which can be purchased through their website or Eventbrite

For those who relish a good mystery, The Dinner Detective offers a thrilling interactive experience. Guests become part of the story, deciphering clues and solving a mystery while dinner is served. This engaging dinner show promises an evening of laughter, intrigue, and unexpected twists. Anyone in the room could be a suspect, with actors hidden in the audience. Set in the present time, the evening will consist of a crime occurring, hidden clues being revealed, and everyone working to crack the case before time is up. The best sleuth for the evening will receive a prize package for their detective efforts. 

TROY HISTORIC VILLAGE

60 West Wattles Road, Troy

Step back in time at the Troy Historic Village, where the city’s rich history comes alive. This charming village features 11 buildings that tell the story of Troy’s past, from its early settler days in the 1800s to its growth in the 1900s into the vibrant community it is today. Eight of the historic buildings have been moved to the site, two were recreated, and the 1927 Township Hall now serves as the visitor center for the village. It’s a captivating experience for history buffs and curious minds alike. Open year-round, head out and take a self-guided tour, or register for one of the many special events held here. 

RIDLEY’S BAKERY CAFE

4054 Rochester Road, Troy

No visit to Troy is complete without a stop at Ridley’s Bakery Cafe. This cozy bakery is a local favorite, serving up freshly baked goods, delicious breakfasts, and hearty lunches. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and a sweet treat in a welcoming environment. Check out the variety of daily-baked bread, over 40 muffin choices, or any of the other baked goods. Ready for lunch? Ridley’s Bakery Cafe has you covered for that too. Choose from sandwiches, paninis, salads, and soups. If you can’t select just one, check out the lunch combinations (served all day, daily) and get a delicious and well-rounded lunch. 

STAGE NATURE CENTER

6685 Coolidge Highway, Troy

Troy isn’t just about the hustle and bustle; it’s also a place where nature’s tranquility is revered. The Stage Nature Center stands as a testament to this, offering a serene escape into the natural world. With acres of landscapes and walking trails meandering through diverse habitats, visitors are invited to connect with the environment in a way that refreshes the spirit and inspires conservation. The trails offer about two miles of walking but take you through lowland and upland forests, a meadow, and over marshlands. You can also view the Native Plants Garden, dedicated to Michigan’s native plant species.
